So many of us feel we have lost control of our eating…

We rush around, are always busy either at work or play, and we live in a culture of instant gratification. We all want the latest gadgets and we definitely all want the latest quick-fix diet promising us instant weight loss and ongoing success.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that new and latest fad diet will not work. Not now… not next week… not ever…

Let me ask you a question? Why do you eat? Do you eat in response to hunger? Are you an emotional eater? Do you feel addicted to certain foods? Do you eat ‘mindlessly’? If so, you are not alone. We’re surrounded by addictive junk foods designed to make us want to eat more, and eat more of the ‘wrong’ things. Wherever you look there are fatty foods, sweets, cakes and soft drinks beckoning. Not to mention the specialty ‘coffees’ that can contain a whole day’s calories in one large cup. These foods are harming our bodies, playing with our moods, and muddling our minds.

Mindful Eating

There is an overwhelming link between our minds, our bodies and the food in which we eat. But how many of us really recognise the connection? We worry about our weight and body image but have no idea how to change our behaviour.

In this 8-week mindful eating programme you’ll take a look at the common habits you’ve learned, often from childhood and look at ways that you can quieten your own ‘monkey’ mind. You’ll learn how this ‘chatter’ and your nutrition habits are linked and how to eat and choose food with more awareness. It’s not a quick fix but you will learn to change you views about food and yourself forever.

Even if you’ve been yo-yo dieting for much of your life, or are just interested in learning about healthy eating, this mindful eating programme will help you.

There are exercises and worksheets which will be entirely personal to you and are designed to change your thinking patterns, on a subconscious basis, as you work through the programme. This will help you get to the root of your own feelings around food and help you identify specific areas you need to work on. You’ll receive weekly emails and audio content from me, with worksheets and some homework, and you’ll also have a chance to book one-to-one sessions with me if feel you need the extra help.
